This is truly an all ages event! We’ve got all of the collage materials\, paper doilies\, sequins\, glitter and stickers you need to create one-of-a-kind valentines. Great for all ages! Feel free to get a little messy in our cozy and easily cleanable Red Barn Space. Note to parents: this craft will use modpodge which can be difficult to remove from clothing once it dries. \nTwo Sessions 1:00 PM-2:30PM or 2:30pm-4:00PM. $7 or $5 for RCHS Members \nWinter Weather Policy & Details \nAll winter craft programs will be cancelled when the windchill is at -10 F or below. \nIf there is a Winter Storm Warning or Blizzard Warning\, all field trips and programs will be cancelled. \nIf a public program or adult evening event is cancelled\, ticket holders be contacted by email and will receive a full refund of their admission cost or the opportunity to reschedule if possible \nThe program will take place in our red barn space which is a short distance from our parking lot\, please reach out for accessible drop off and parking info. \nEmail Clare @ RCHS. DESCRIPTION:Third Annual Winter Candle making \nTickets $17 ($15 RCHS Members) \nGet Tickets Here \n  \nAdd some light to the darkest part of the year! Each participant will dip a set of large taper beeswax candles and decorate them with pressed herbs\, flowers and foliage gathered this year at Gibbs. These candles smell amazing\, burn steadily and are perfect for winter celebrations and heartfelt gifts. The project will take about 45 minutes register for a timeslot at 11 am\, 12pm\, 2pm or 3pm. \n  \nMaking hand dipped candles has been part of our programming for many years\, and it is one of the most memorable parts of our field trip program. Gibbs Farm volunteers and staff will lead you through this project and will have everything you need to get creative with natural materials. \n  \nThis very cool project involves hot wax and timing! All children under 14 need to be accompanied by an adult. For safety and success all kids under 7 will need hands on\, one-on-one help from their grown up for the whole project. \n  \nDetails: \n1 candle set per registration. \nThis program is meant to be accessible for all\, email us if cost is a barrier. \nThe program will take place in our red barn space which is a short distance from our parking lot\, please reach out for accessible drop off and parking info. \nEmail Clare @ RCHS. Visit the twisting stacks of books at the library\, match wits with a traveling magician\, make friends with a fairy\, and decide whether or not to throw your lot in with some mischievous sky pirates. Enjoy live music from Light of the Moon band! \nThe start of the trail is timed\, approximately 40 minutes long\, and ends at the exit of the site. Prior registration for an entry timeslot is required. The outdoor projects change weekly usually planting\, watering\, weeding\, harvesting\, light landscape and orchard projects. \n  \nProjects best for ages 6+ and are great for students\, families\, small groups (workplace teams\, clubs\, scouts\, 4-H ect.) and individuals. Children under 12 should sign up with an adult. \nNo experience necessary! Projects will be lead by Gibbs Farm staff and all supplies\, materials and instructions are provided. \nHave a question or need to cancel your registration? Email Clare @ RCHS.com. \nDay of Instructions: \nVolunteers should park in the Gibbs Farm public parking lot of Cleveland Ave and enter the site through the wooden gates\, Clare will meet you there! \nPlease wear close-toed shoes and clothes you can work in. \nThere are bathrooms and a drinking fountain with water bottle filler on site.

Lend a helping hand to the MNSeed Project in cleaning native seeds as you enjoy the natural beauty of the landscape.  \nRelax in the Courtyard\nLight of the Moon Band will set the soundtrack as you explore the courtyard activities!
