Guests will also receive a limited edition Rosebud the Goose sticker (limit one per person\, while supplies last). Philly Station food truck will be on site from 11am-2pm (lunch from Philly Station is not included in admission). \nAs always\, tours will be of Gibbs Historic Farmhouse\, and guests may learn about the Dakota of Cloud Man’s village by visiting our tipi and replica summer bark lodge. Guided tours will be at 10:30\, 11:30\, 12:30\, 1:30\, and 2:30. \n\nIn lieu of gifts\, Rosebud will be accepting donations to Gibbs Farm for a new mini barn to help house her & her friends all year long! Regardless of whether or not you are able to donate\, she also wants to assure you that your presence at her party is still the best birthday gift! Guests that donate $10 or more will receive the “Rosebud in Bonnet” sticker pictured on this post and guests that donate $50 or more will receive a special Rosebud tote bag. \n\nGibbs Farm is located at 2097 Larpenteur Ave W\, Falcon Heights\, MN 55113. DESCRIPTION:DIY Cross Stitch with 3DRD at Gibbs Farm | STITCH YOUR OWN AFFIRMATIONS\nNEW DATE! \nPresented by Gibbs Farm and Third Daughter\, Restless Daughter \nGibbs Farm\, 2097 West Larpenteur Avenue\, St. Paul\, MN 55113\nJune 7\, 2025 \n10:30AM – 12:00PM \nRegistration is required \n\nRegister Here \n\nThis workshop will utilize the medium of needlepoint (cross stitch) as a creative expression of art. You’ll be crafting up a 4-inch framed cross stitch piece featuring affirmational stitches. This workshop is taught by sister duo Wone and Youa Vang of Third Daughter\, Restless Daughter. \nAll materials needed to construct a traditional craft with a modern twist is supplied in your workshop fee. Materials included are Aida fabric\, thread\, and tapestry needle. The kits we’ll be working with are lovingly created by our instructors. \nTICKETS: $30 per person. All materials\, including a cross stitch kit with cross stitch fabric\, DMC Embroidery floss\, tapestry needle\, color stitching chart/pattern & Circle embroidery hoop\, will be provided. This class is for beginners to intermediate and recommended for guests 13 years and older.

DESCRIPTION:Join a special Master Naturalist tour of our restored prairie! \nCathy Crohgan and Kathy Robbins will lead a Prairie Walk on June 21 at 10:30 am. This tour is a fun opportunity to check out several acres of restored prairie (installed over 20 years ago) without leaving the cities. \nAs longtime Gibbs Farm volunteers\, Cathy and Kathy keep track of What’s Blooming in the Prairie. They will identify the prolific blooms and help you to appreciate the incredible biodiversity of this important Minnesota biome. The tour will touch on edible and medicinal plants and visitors will be able to see the effects of regular controlled burns have had on the plants. This tour is designed for adults and kids ages 12+ but all are welcome! \nPre-Register Here!\n\n\n\nGibbs Farm is open to the public on Saturdays this summer from 10-4. The prairie walk is included in regular Saturday admission price. To reserve your tour spot\, pre-pay admission online\, or call the Gibbs Farm Office at 651-646-8629. Walk-ins are also welcome. Madison’s work centers around beautiful jewelry that honors her Anishinaabe ancestry. \n“Nature is a huge inspiration in my work\, so my roots in central Minnesota and in northern Minnesota (near my cabin on rainy lake) are engrained in my work\, always. From the landscape to the flora and fauna — these are my muses.” \nConversation moderated by Youa Vang. \nAbout Madison Holler: \nMadison R. Holler is the artist behind Rubinski Works\, operating on Wahpekute + Anishinaabewaki Land (Central Minnesota). \nOne-of-a-kind works are created by Madi with glass and metal seed beads on waxed thread. She also practices metal smithing techniques to construct abstract precious metal components for her work. \nMadison’s work explores the bridge between traditional craft and modern art practices. Her collections provide commentary on her shared Dutch\, Scandinavian\, and Anishinaabe heritage\, with an emphasis on storytelling and folklore. \nMadison has a vocational background in photography and graphic design\, as well as experience in fine art practices\, such as ceramics\, printmaking\, painting\, and illustration.

DESCRIPTION:Get the most out of summer by visiting Gibbs Farm for this special 21+ evening tour. After grabbing a drink and some snacks take a stroll through the outdoor spaces of our 8-acre site. We will visit the restored prairie\, native edible and medicinal plants\, crop and herb gardens plus a quick peek in our heritage orchard. \nTickets Here\nThe site will be bursting with flowers\, herbs\, and veggies and visitors will get a chance to taste and harvest some seasonal produce. Program Manager\, Clare will share the historical context of our gardens and talk about our focus on period appropriate heirloom and native plants. This tour can be enjoyed whether you have a little or a lot of garden and farm experience! \nTicket price includes beer or wine and NA beverages\, plus a light snack and some seasonal samples. \nThis is an outdoor tour and will not be held in the case of storms or extreme heat. Ticket holders will have the opportunity to attend a rescheduled tour or receive a refund if the event is canceled.

DESCRIPTION:Register Here\n\n  \nHelp us tackle our to-do list! Volunteer at Gibbs Farm on select Friday Mornings and Tuesday Evenings during the 2025 season. The outdoor projects change weekly usually planting\, watering\, weeding\, harvesting\, light landscape and orchard projects. \n  \nProjects best for ages 6+ and are great for students\, families\, small groups (workplace teams\, clubs\, scouts\, 4-H ect.) and individuals. Children under 12 should sign up with an adult. \nNo experience necessary! Projects will be lead by Gibbs Farm staff and all supplies\, materials and instructions are provided. \nHave a question or need to cancel your registration? Email Clare @ RCHS.com. \nDay of Instructions: \nVolunteers should park in the Gibbs Farm public parking lot of Cleveland Ave and enter the site through the wooden gates\, Clare will meet you there! \nPlease wear close-toed shoes and clothes you can work in. \nThere are bathrooms and a drinking fountain with water bottle filler on site.

Please note that the cost of the event does not include the cost of a tintype portrait; see rates below. \n$10 \n\nSOLD OUT\n\nRamsey County Historical Society presents History Revealed – Blkk Hand – Tintype Photography\, featuring a conversation with renowned artist\, Carla Alexandra Rodriguez. In her St. Paul studio\, Carla will share the stories behind her work and why she continues to uphold this traditional method of photography. Those interested in getting a portrait taken will be allowed to have one captured at the end of the event for a fee. \nCost\n4×5 tintype – $100\n5×7 tintype – $125\n8×10 tintype – $170 \nMore information here. \nCarla will schedule on site for this event\, so no need to book a session ahead of time. \nBlkk Hand \nBlkk Hand is a portrait studio and pop-up experience that specializes in a Civil War era photo-process called Tintype. Run by artist Carla Alexandra Rodriguez\, each image is chemically handmade\, one at a time\, a results in a one-of-a-kind image that has the potential to last generations. Rodriguez has been working with this process for over 11 years in the twin cities and beyond\, utilizing it for portraits as well as her personal art practice.
