Public Hours at Gibbs Farm

Ramsey County Historical Society offers unique, hands-on programs at the Gibbs Farm historic site. Costumed interpreters provide a glimpse into nineteenth century pioneer and Dakota daily life. Our local history comes alive through stories, crafts, gardening, animal husbandry, and more. 

Gibbs Farm is now closed for the season. We will reopen for public hours on Saturday, May 23, 2026. Find information about our special winter programs on our events calendar. 

A combination tour of the Gibbs Farmhouse, one-room schoolhouse, Dakota bark lodge, and tipi will be offered every hour on the hour. Prior registration is NOT required for  public hours. Credit & debit card purchases preferred. Gibbs Farm is located at 2097 Larpenteur Ave W, Falcon Heights, MN 55113. Parking is free in our lot off Cleveland Avenue. Enter Gibbs Farm through the small white building just south of the parking lot. Service animals only please.

Admission is $10 for adults, $7 for seniors (62+), $5 for children 4-16, free for children 3 and under. RCHS Members visit Gibbs Farm for free!

Gibbs Farm waives public hour admission fees for all Dakota and Indigenous visitors. Read our Land Acknowledgement Statement.
