Internship Opportunities
Gibbs Farm Youth Internship Program
Gibbs Farm’s Youth Intern Program is a summer leadership program that allows students between the ages of 14 to 18 to experience working at a historic site as they assist staff in running camps. Interns accepted into the program attend a one-day training in June. During camps are responsible for helping staff and making sure all the campers feel included and have the best experience possible!
We are looking for responsible, fun, and engaging teenagers who are interested in history and enjoy hanging out with kids!
There is no fee associated with this program, but interns are expected to have some means of transportation to and from the site for volunteer shifts. Interested interns are required to be available for a minimum of four weeks of camp (at least 12 days throughout the summer) but will not necessarily be scheduled for each day. For most camps, interns will be in costume – details will be provided upon admission into the program.
Please note that we have a limited number of intern slots available and due to the large number of potential interns interested, submitting an application will not guarantee being accepted into the program. Gibbs Farm is incredibly appreciative of the interest in this youth volunteer experience and encourages any applicant not selected to participate in this year’s program to reapply in the future.
Applications and the tentative availability calendar are due by April 3rd and we will let you know if you have been accepted into the program within the following week. Please either email the application and calendar to janie@rchs.com or mail to the Gibbs Farm office at 2129 W. Larpenteur Ave., Falcon Heights, MN 55113.
