Mary Livingston Griggs & Mary Griggs Burke Research Center

The RCHS Mary Livingston Griggs & Mary Griggs Burke Research Center contains non-circulating collections documenting the history of Ramsey County and St. Paul.

The collection contains books, periodicals, city directories, maps, photographs, personal papers, business and organization records, architectural information and materials on clubs, schools, events, and churches.

We welcome you, Monday – Thursday, 12:30pm – 4:30pm.

Masks are no longer required, but are encouraged.  While surfaces continue to be sanitized between patrons, appointments are strongly encouraged to assist in maintaining social distancing in the confined space.

No food or drink is allowed in the center.

You may hire RCHS staff to assist in your research project.

RCHS Members:
First hour = FREE
Each additional 30 minutes = $15.00

Non-RCHS Members:
First 15 minutes = FREE
Each additional 30 minutes = $30.00

RCHS Members receive a 50% discount on all orders.


Photocopies = $0.30 per page/side.

The Ramsey County Historical Society limits photocopying to a maximum of 25 pages per person per day, dependent on staff availability.

Ramsey County Historical Society reserves the right to decline to reproduce fragile items.
