Gibbs Farm Apple Festival
Included in general admission:
$8 adults, $7 seniors 62+, $5 children 3 and up
Free for RCHS members
Join us for a day of apple fun for all ages! There will be live music by Light of the Moon, games, treats, crafts, tours and a special visiting exhibit, plus the Outdoor Painters of Minnesota! We’ll have plenty of apple entertainment for families, students and adults!
The details: Apple fun starts at 10:00am and goes until 4:00pm. No need for reservations, stop by anytime. Activities, treats, and tours are included in admission. $8 Adults, $7 Seniors, $5 Children (ages 4-16). Bring your Ramsey County Historical Society Membership card for free admission!
Take a tour and learn about heritage varieties in our Heritage Apple Orchard. Meet Johnny Appleseed. Our knowledgeable volunteers will be available to answer your toughest apple questions
Our new neighbor, The Bell Museum of Natural History will join in on the fun by bringing over a pop-up museum! The Bell will be bringing their traveling beehives, models of flowers and food, and a microscope activity, so you can discover the special role that pollinators play in our food production.
Get creative! Make apple crafts to take home! Craft activities include, apple block prints, dried apple necklaces, and apple magnets. Play apple games and listen to apple stories and apple lore!
Watch the artists from Outdoor Painters of Minnesota as they create beautiful works of art directly on the Gibbs Farm site! The artists will be available to answer questions about their processes and will be capturing the day as it unfolds and the beauty of Gibbs Farm in the Fall. Some works of art may be for sale.
Treats! In addition to heritage variety sampling and mini caramel apple dipping, you can head over to the red barn for a special apple treat served with our famous homemade vanilla ice cream and seasonal beverages.
Need something more substantial for an entire day of apple fun? We’re excited to host Fork in the Road Food Truck (see their menu here). Or, feel free to bring your own picnic lunch. Picnic tables are available. Please, no grills.
Find what life was like in the 1800’s before and after Minnesota became a state, our site interpreters will give tours of Dakota seasonal life and the historic Gibbs farmhouse throughout the day.
Apple Festival is a great time to sign up for an annual membership. Ramsey County Historical Society Members get free admission to Gibbs Farm, including festivals! Other perks include our award winning magazine, discounts in the gift shop, on day camps, and RCHS events offered throughout the year!
