Ramsey County Medical Society Survives 100 Years

Founded in 1870, the Ramsey County Medical Society went into a “nearly fatal state of coma” by 1879, revived in 1882, faded again, and recovered permanently in 1889. The article describes the society’s struggles to define itself, find meeting places, establish a library, publish its St. Paul Medical Journal, and lists some of the achievements of the members.
