Gibbs Farm’s 2025 Trick or Treat Trail

A wooded background with a sign posted with the text "Fairy Glen Straight Ahead"Take a dash of Secret Garden magic, sprinkle in a little Jules Verne-esque imagination, and combine with a generous array of candyand you’ve got Gibbs Farm’s Annual Trick or Treat Trail! Walking the trail through the prairie and historic farm house, guest visited the twisting stacks of books at the library, matched wits with a traveling magician, made friends with a fairy, and decided whether or not to throw their lot in with some mischievous sky pirates!

This is one of the Gibbs staff’s most anticipated annual events, with our historic reenactors being able to trade fact for fantasy! For weeks in advance, staff ideate and collect items for their elaborate steampunk costumes. Steampunk is a retro-futuristic aesthetic, combining steam-powered technology and Victorian era clothing and ideas. From this, you can imagine a world with high tech transportation and communication, all powered miraculously through steam.

This year’s event was well attended, with over 350 visitors taking the trail. We were graced with costumes ranging from Toy Story’s aliens to trash collectors! It’s because of all of our guests earnest engagement that this is one of our most favored events! This year we were graciously supported by Tim & Tom’s Speedy Mart to offer full size candy bars as a grand prize for the end of the trail. Thank you, Tim & Tom’s!
