Gibbs Farm Garden Party Series

A mini-fieldtrip just for adults! Each event will focus on one of our favorite topics- expect fun facts, historical sources and a special peek into what makes our 8-acre historic site so special.

Each event includes themed snacks, beverages (beer, wine and NA options) and the opportunity to get hands-on and up-close with history and nature.

June 16- Animals

Site Manager and #1 animal fan, Sammy Nelson will lead this program that focuses on our sheep, goats, chickens, pigs, geese and ducks! She will share her wealth of knowledge about the care and feeding of our farm animals.

After eating some themed snacks, head out to the pasture, coop and pen. Sammy will share interesting facts about heritage breeds, the historic economics of keeping animals and how the Gibbs Family used animal products. Participants will offer a variety of healthy snacks to our flock and even get the chance to hold a chicken and brush a goat.
