Join a special Master Naturalist tour of our restored prairie!

Cathy Crohgan and Kathy Robbins will lead a Prairie Walk on August 3 at 10:30 am. This tour is a fun opportunity to check out several acres of restored prairie (installed over 20 years ago) without leaving the cities.

As longtime Gibbs Farm volunteers Cathy and Kathy keep track of What’s Blooming in the Prairie, and will be able to help you appreciate the incredible biodiversity of this important Minnesota biome. The tour will touch on edible and medicinal plants and visitors will be able to see the effects of regular controlled burns as well as the impact the heavy rainfall has had on the plants. This tour is designed for adults and kids ages 12+ but all are welcome!
