The collection includes 307 books about historic preservation and renovation, style, ornamentation, lighting, and building contractor business management, as well as historic and modern catalogs for architectural and style-specific features. Also included are HVAC, plumbing, lumber and woodwork catalogs. Additionally, the collection contains a series of 13 serials, including Period Homes, The House Beautiful, Traditional Building (Clem Labine), Journal of Light Construction, Victorian Homes, Tools of the Trade, Fine Homebuilding, Old House Interiors, Old House Journal, House and Garden, American Bungalow, Arts and Crafts Homes, and Style 1900.

Arlington Hills Presbyterian Church Record Collection

1886-2013 [2015.58]

Materials include bylaws and annual reports, 1972-2012; membership directories, 1922-2008 (scattered), Sunday Bulletins, 1957-2010; and newsletters, 1962-2006 (scattered) comprise the first half of the collection. Records pertaining to the Women’s Missionary Society (minutes starting in 1923), foreign missions and missionaries, the Women’s Association of the Arlington Church, and the Twin Cities Women’s Presbyterian Association take up another several boxes. There is a chronologically arranged series of miscellaneous records pertaining to church history and Presbyterianism in general. Scattered documentation of baptisms, marriages, funerals, and memorial cards round out the collection.
