Sanborn (General John B.) Family Collection
1860-1972 [2006.25]Material consists of items relating to General John B. Sanborn’s (1826- 1904) military service and correspondence with him from military personnel and family during that time. There are three business ledgers relating to his work as a lawyer in St. Paul in the firm Sanborn, French, and Lund (1854–1859). The remainder relates to his son, Judge John B. Sanborn (1883-1964) and his career and retirement as a Judge in the U.S. Court of Appeals, Eighth Circuit.
